It was a warm day, and Illiana was reading one of the Queenriding scrolls in the Records Room. She had been busy studying the only information she had about being a Goldrider, and as the time when Dyamoth would Rise neared, Illiana became more determined to learn everything about her position. Beside her lay a sleepy green fire-lizard. Her hide glowed with an unusual brightness, and since Illiana had never seen a female dragon before or during a Flight, she did not know what was about to happen. Vassi had begun to stir, her eyes mere slits of dark purple. Her blood roared in her ears, urging her to fly as far and as high as she could. As hers reached down to stroke her, the Green hissed and scrambled away from the offending hand. She could not be touched by anything unless it deserved to touch her. Illiana gaped at her pet as lusty thoughts filled her head. “Oh… No!” The girl cried out as Vassi leaped into the air and was gone. As she hurtled out of the Records Room, Illiana instinctively summoned Dyamoth. It’s Vassi! She’s Rising! I will be right there, Ana-Mine. Dyamoth assured the girl quickly.

As Illiana reached the outside, she could see Vassi perched on a rock with her wings flared and tail waving like a flag. The Green bugled her challenge to the Weyr’s male fire-lizards, daring them to give her Chase. She was the most beautiful creature alive, better then the dragon that belonged to Hers, and the green deserved all the males Akum had to offer. Vassi bugled again as she took Flight, calling the males to Chase. Wasn’t she beautiful enough for them? Her wings beat quickly as she pulled herself into the sky. Vassi hovered for a moment as she waited for her Chasers to come. Any who did not Chase would forever regret that decision!

Down below, Illiana stood between the forelegs of her dragon, staring up at Vassi as the Green’s emotions clouded her mind. The emotions weren’t controlling, but they were very suggestive, and it was all Ana could do from going off to flirt with K’in, A’donis, or someone else… Luckily, Dyamoth was there to keep her rider from doing stupid things like going after riders she shouldn’t be involved with… yet… One thing that was on the Goldrider’s mind was Who’s male fire-lizards would give Chase? And would she feel the need to Fly with the owner of Vassi’s Chosen male? Thoughts continued to race through her head as she watched and waited for the inevitable to happen. Do not worry, Mine. I will protect you.
